About the hike

Located around 60 kilometers from the capital Nairobi, Mt. Longonot happens to be one of the best trails for almost anyone. Weather The trail takes 4-6 hours to complete, covering a distance of 3.1 km up to the rim of the crater and 7.2 km around the crater. It takes around 2 hours to climb to the rim and 2–3 hours to walk around the crater.

Important preparations to make

1. Cardio exercise (walk, run, swim, etc)
2. The day before the hike, take a break from other exercises
3. Start hydrating two days before the hike.
4. Enough rest before the hike.
5. In case of fasting, take a break a day before and after the hike.
6. Cut your toenails.
7. Have a good breakfast 3 hours before the start of the hike.
